What Types of Hives We Offer
Nucleus Hive (Nuc) Our honey bee nucs have five frames, normally this includes 2-3 frames of brood, a frame of pollen, and a frame of honey. Each box has a mated queen with at least 3-4 frames of worker bees, which is around 3-5 pounds of bees. These nucs are ready for a larger box within two weeks. 10-Frame Hives The ten frame hives are double the width of a nuc. These boxes normally are sold in lots of four or more, but can be purchased singularly when necessary. When they are sold in lots of four, they can be placed on a commercial four-way pallet allowing the beekeeper to easily transport and work with their bees. They are also compatible with the newest invention of the Flow Hive. Making our ten framers a more popular size for commercial beekeepers, and backyard beekeepers alike.
